Art Zone
UX/UI Design

This project focuses on the redesign of an art mentorship website with an emphasis on clarity, usability, and user engagement. The aim was to create a platform that feels approachable and inspiring for emerging artists, especially those interested in careers within the video game and film industries. Working as a team, we brought together our UX and UI expertise to identify the core challenges and develop focused, user-centered solutions. Methods used: User interviews, competitive analysis, heuristic evaluation, and usability testing formed the foundation of the process. We mapped user journeys to understand key touchpoints, explored ideas through Crazy 8 sessions, prioritized features using an Impact/Effort Matrix, and refined task flows to simplify user interactions. Stakeholder interview: An interview with Janos helped align the project with ArtZone’s goals, mentorship structure, and intended audience. Results The redesign improved clarity and usability across the platform. A clearer navigation structure, transparent pricing, and a refined visual language led to higher engagement and a smoother experience for both new and returning users. Results: The redesign improved clarity and usability across the platform. A clearer navigation structure, transparent pricing, and a refined visual language led to higher engagement and a smoother experience for both new and returning users. Lessons Learned: We learned how important it is to balance clarity with engagement — offering transparent information without overwhelming users. Reflecting the mentor’s personality and credibility through design proved essential for building trust, while continuous testing and user feedback helped refine an experience that truly resonates. The final UI design was clean, user-friendly, and visually engaging. We focused on simplifying the user journey while highlighting important elements like mentorship details, pricing, and testimonials. The new design not only improved usability but also created a more immersive and reflective experience for aspiring artists.
